Create a relaxing atmosphere with our handcrafted soy candles. Each candle is made in small batches, featuring cotton wicks, natural soy wax, and premium fragrance oils.

Enjoy a cleaner, longer-lasting burn of up to 45 hours - perfect for any space!

Care

To ensure a clean burn and a manageable flame, always trim your candle wick to 1/4" before each use. Allow the wax to melt fully to the container's edges, usually about 2 hours, to prevent tunneling.

It's normal for soy wax to appear frosted or cratered after burning; this does not affect the candle's quality.

Safety

To avoid fire hazards, never leave your candle unattended and always place it on a stable, heat-resistant surface. Keep it away from drafts, flammable objects, and out of reach of children and pets.

Avoid burning your candle for more than 4 hours at a time, and discontinue use when only 1/2" of wax remains. Do not touch or move the candle while it is lit or if the wax is still melted.

Wow!

Despite my initial misgivings related to the candle’s name, I am very happy to report that “5am” smells great at all hours of the day. This is the second candle I’ve purchased from Soeur Body and Candle and they are a convincing 2 for 2. I light this baby up whenever I need to lock in at my desk, settle down before bed, or otherwise boost my mood throughout the day. I can’t say that I love espresso in a vacuum (the drink or the Sabs track), but the scent is so tastefully paired with hints of vanilla and hazelnut that the final product is an aromatic delight (this is the first phrase that came up when I Googled “nasal equivalent to music to my ears”).

While this is a candle review and not a political thinkpiece, I would be remiss if not to at least mention the ongoing tension between the governments of my United States and the candle’s native Canada. I am by no means a political expert - the only real exposure I had to political science (if you even want to call it that) was the 2 mandatory economics classes I was forced to take in college, both of which I hated.

Anyway, all I know is that people much smarter than me are split on the effectiveness of tariffs. Some say they are nothing but harmful, while others say they can be downright terrific (or, if you’re a punny person like myself, “tariffic”). It will be interesting to track how the United States’ newfangled economic policies impact candles and other domestic… Sorry, I’m rambling.

The bottom line is that the candle is awesome.
